Feeling Like A Cool Kid | Outfit

29 March 2015

(I wrote this about a week ago- I am very sorry for my absence from my blog)

Wow Libby where have you been? Well friends, I've had a pretty hectic week. Except it's not actually hectic just kind of extremely draining and I don't have the mental stability to do anything apart from sleep. It's Easter soon though and hopefully I'll write posts, except it's not even that I don't have posts, I just  can't be bothered to add the pictures and stuff because my laptop is so bloody slow. I thought I fixed it, I have definitely spent in total over six hours trying to fix it, it worked bormally once and is still incredibly slow. I can't ask for a new one though any time soon because I owe my mum a lot of money. So I'm stuck with this laptop that takes over half an hour to turn on or off and crashes fairly regularly and let's not even mention the amount of time it takes for me to turn on the safety thingies before I can even use it. I wish I was exaggerating. I know, I know 'be grateful you have a laptop' and trust me I am. But want to hear the sad truth? And when I say truth I honestly, hand on heart mean this that my laptop makes me so fricking happy, when my parents got it for me I don't think they realised how much in desperate need I was of one as a way to escape. Lame I know. I could go into depth but nah. And now, the fact my buddy hardly even works frustrates me immensely because I can't do any of things I used to enjoy like blog or go on tumblr or shop or what not without having to wait twelve years for it to load. Hopefully though, after my GCSE's I can get a job and start saving up towards a laptop, wahooo. That wahoo sounds sarcastic, but it's not, I feel like it would appear less sarcastic if I put an exclamation mark but sometimes a singular exclamation mark just seems so hmm I don't know how to put into words. One of my favourite things is using too many exclamation marks though, honestly if we were ever to have a conversation over text it would be !!!! Galore.

I would link you to these things but I don't have the mental stamina to wait for the new tabs to load
Top- Asos
New Balances- Asos (mens)
I'm writing this on the notes in my phone, and I know I actually have this outfit post on my laptop but I'm having quite a good time writing this. I'll tell you about a different outfit instead, this outfit made me feel pretty hardcore. I wore it to a school revision session, but I feel like with a fair of dark lipstick, a beanie or bowler hat, or maybe no lipstick actually, with my vagabonds I could like so punk rock. To try and hide the fact I'm actually probably the one of the lamest people you'll ever meet. I think the fact I'm wearing ripped jeans helps me feel hardcore too. It's just a really simple outfit but I love wearing an oversized top of ripped jeans, makes me feel like a skater boy to be honest. I paired it with my trustworthy New Balances, I practically live in these and then the other day I ventured out. I wore these pink trainers that I got like three years ago the other day (pink trainers, I know how it sounds, but they're actually adorable) and I've been wearing my black cut out boots more recently as well. Let me tell you though, I walk a lot, and these boots give me blisters and sure 'no pain no gain' but let's be honest why would you suffer from blisters if you didn't have to.

Showing off them rips.
I FEEL LIKE THIS POST WILL NEVER BLOODY BE UPLOADED I HAVE BEEN WAITING 26 MINUTES FOR MY PICTURES TO OPEN WHY IS MY LAPTOP SO BLOODY SLOW. You know what, how cares about ediditng pictures. Who cares. Its been seventy years I am done waiting for these pictures to load they just wont get edited. Sorry for the quality.

Shoutout to my photographer of the day who took these pictures for me because she's a true homie xoxoxo

The Riot Club | The Theory Of Everything | Dallas Buyers Club

8 March 2015

Okay, we're talking about films today because recently I've watched three films I've been dying to see: The Riot Club, The Theory Of Everything and Dallas Buyers Club. There are actually loads more I want to see, which I cant forget to watch this post just reminded me to write them down in my film list. There was no need to tell you that but I don't know, I like to keep comments like that in because it's me you know? Probably not, that makes no sense. Whatever, films. I realised as I was writing some of these that I don't really review films just kind of write 'it was so good you should watch it!!' so I'm going to try and do a better job.

Two first year students at Oxford University join the infamous Riot Club, where reputations can be made or destroyed over the course of a single evening.
I watched The Riot Club earlier today and holy moly. I love the actors in it, Sam Claflin, Douglas Booth and other faves were there. Most of the guys had amazing bone structure in it. The casting was amazing in my opinion because everyone played their characters so well and each portrayed them so well. I love Sam Claflin and usually my love for someone as an actor spreads out to the character their playing too, but oh my god not one part of me could love Alistair (also, fun fact, I've always wanted to name my future son that, even though this character slightly ruined the name for me for a little bit). The film is dark and I found it interesting the way they portrayed the rich, a bit over the top but it did get the idea of being spoiled nailed. I think this film is definitely worth watching, but there is a violent scene and the ending isn't very satisfying. Its not deep or anything, in my opinion, its made very obvious the message they're trying to get across, but its interesting. It kept me interested anyway.

Although, there was one scene that with a girl that was extremely rapey, although nothing actually happened, it really got to me. Not getting too deep or anything for this post, but sexual abuse terrifies me and seeing it in this context in the film scared me because the characters just didn't see what they were doing as wrong. I might talk about this in another post, its just woah man.

The relationship between the famous physicist and his wife.
The Theory Of Everything was incredible in my opinion. I had been dying to see it for ages and when I finally did I was no disappointed. Eddie Redmayne was fantastic in every way and seeing him slumped in the wheelchair made it hard to believe he was acting. I think that the casting and directing couldn't have been better and they way they transformed part of Steven Hawkings story to film really worked. It wasn't just about him or biased toward him in anyway, it didn't make me dislike anyone. It made me happy and sad and mad and it made me feel everything, I cried. I have no shame to say I cried. I was completely engrossed during the entire film. Steven Hawking and Janes (his first wife)story is amazing and so motivating. After watching it, for a good few hours I just didn't know what to do with myself I just felt so ..moved? Watch this film. It didn't change my perspective on life or cause a spiritual awakening or anything but it really did encourage me and certainly left a lasting impression. Its an extraordinary story.

In 1985 Dallas, electrician and hustler Ron Woodroof works around the system  to help AIDS patients get the medication they need after he himself is diagnosed with the disease.

After writing these I've decided I want to improve mt film reviews. I don't think these even count as reviews, I think next time I need to give more of a debrief of the film and maybe go into more depth?I'm not sure, let me know in the comments below! Also, if you've seen any of these let me know what you thought! See you guys soon :) woah that sounds so perky.

I'm sorry I've not been active much there's just a lot going on and I'm very bad at organizing but I will be here once a week don't you fret. Just in case you were.

Mac Face And Body Foundation | Review

2 March 2015

All I wanted to today was blog. I didnt get to. At all. I need another Sunday and just to catch up on posts and things. Oh well, maybe I'll have time tomorrow. Anywho, hey.

For Christmas I got my first ever Mac product (SO EXCITING I think my next ever mac product will be a lipstick.. although I do really want their eye shadow. I need to stop spending money I don't even have). I got their Studio Face and Body foundation. I was inspired to get it by my friend because her skin always looks flawless (although she is blessed with amazing skin naturally) and I wanted skin that looked as good as hers. Also, its common knowledge that you cant really go wrong with any Mac product, so I asked for it for Christmas. But, when I asked for it, my sister told me how it would make my skin break out and she was very aggressive in the manner she told me, she could have been a lot kinder in the way she phrased it, but still. However, I  realised that she meant a completely different foundation than this one

So on Christmas when I received it I was so excited to wear it, but also a tad nervous due to the fact I was told my skin would horribly break out even though I know my sister was talking about a different foundation. Also, my friends mum is a makeup artist and she wouldn't let her use a bad foundation so I knew it would be a good one.

The first thing about this foundation that I found out, is that it smells glorious. Secondly, it's brilliant. It has a fairly light coverage I feel, but it can be built up if you want. This is the first foundation that I have ever used that I feel completely safe using as I know it matches my skin tone so well. (I'm shade N3 in case you were wondering, I feel so sophisticated knowing that). I really like this foundation. I like the way it makes my skin looks so natural and healthy and it lasts so well, especially paired with the Rimmel Stay Matte Powder. The only thing I don't like about this foundation is the price, although I do personally think its worth it, and the fact I can never get the right amount out. It is pretty easy to control since you just kind of squeeze it out, but I just never know how much I need. I don't want to overdo it because its expensive but then not getting enough is so frustrating too because when you go to get more out just ah it's annoying.
My face looks odd in the after picture, I think I stretched the picture weirdly to make it bigger.
Before and after! (with some concealer and powder though, but you get the jist of it)
I would really want to buy this again, but I have no job so I cant really splash out on expensive products like this all the time, but I do love it. Although, recently my mum has been wearing an Estee Lauder foundation and her skins looks absolutely amazing, so I might ask for that for my birthday. In case you wanted to know that.

If you can afford this foundation though, I  highly recommend it. It makes your skins look not exactly flawless but so healthy and natural and the type of face you want (I feel), and it doesn't cause any breakouts for me personally. You ca build up the coverage, but if you want something with heavier coverage I feel like there are better foundations than this though.

Thanks for reading and see you soon guys!:)
