Platform Sandlas

21 May 2014

I never know how to introduce these posts, hello guys! (I'm working on it..)

Remember in this post I was complaining a way about how I got sandals but I had to send them back despite the fact I loved them yaddayaddayadda, well I kept them. I couldn't resist.

I've never had platform shoes before, but they didn't take long to get used to. Although I'm a very clumsy, off balance person and my feet always slip to the side of my shoes, which is usually fine, however in platforms not so much. Honestly the amount of times I almost fell over! Although if you're not as clumsy as  me, I have a feeling you would be able to walk easily in them after a while. They're super comfy if you wear socks. (Also I know socks and sandals, but they were cute little sparkly ones and I thought they were cute) but my socks kept on slipping and I got really bad blisters, which suck but oh well! The shoes are quite a bold fashion choice I think, and if you like them you like 'em but if you hate them then... thankfully me and all my friends love them. I was worried they were all going to take the mick out of me but fortunately not!

They're such fun shoes I feel and perfect for summer! I don't think they'll be that easy to pair with outfits, these definitely don't go with everything, but the outfits they do go with will look fabuloouuus. They were £17 I think from eBay, so far i think they're good quality. Well they must be, I spent the whole of Saturday walking in them, but when I went on swings and dragged my feet to stop it the white left a mark which I don't know if that was them rubbing off, it probably was. Now I know for next time no swings though!

Example of them in use even though you cant really see...

I would say only buy them if you think you will keep them though because it's always such a hassle on eBay sending things back and stuff, then again do as you please!

I'm glad I have these shoes but the wedding is getting so close, when I'm writing this it's two weeks away and I still have no shoes! DO you guys know anywhere to get cream, white or tan nice shoes? I know this is quite a wide variety of options but I just can't find any anywhere! Also, preferably cheap ones because I already have so many shoes and there's one more pair I want to get so I don't really want expensive one of these. I don't know if this makes sense.

Pinafore Dress

18 May 2014

Hello! I just realised I never give you an introduction when you come to my blog so yeah I guess..hello!

In case you didn't know, I live in the UK and in the UK, if there's even a tiny bit of sunshine we all go cray and whip out the paddling pools and all that jazz. Since today was such a warm day, I decided to wear this. I got this pinafore a while ago from Urban Outfitters but have been waiting for the sun to wear it, since it doesn't look that great with black tights. But I feel like with maybe a dark lipstick it would look okay and a long sleeved white shirt.
Pinafore: Urban Outfitters (I got it a while ago so it's probably sold out but this is just a link to UO dresses)
Top: Topshop (this was also brought ages ago but this is the link to Topshop white crop tops in general)
I absolutely love wearing dresses. They're comfortable, cute, and can easily be formal or casual. Plus, you don't have to bother finding matching trousers! I decided to wear a white crop top underneath which I think is from Topshop and Rimmel Kate Moss lipstick in shade 110, I feel like this outfit needs so me colour since it's just black and white mainly.  I was so eager to buy this pinafore for Christmas, but now I sort of wished I just waited because there's loads of similar clothes in other shops for a fraction of the price. But oh well! I'm the type of girl who keeps her clothes and re wears them loads after years of owning them, I'm a bit of a hoarder. I rarely throw out clothes because I know I will probably wear them loads more in the future. Which is mainly the reason why my clothes collection seems so huge! I wore it with my new shoes which I will do a post about soon because I absolutely LOVE them. I didn't get any pictures of me in them because they were a bit of a last minute decision wear, but to be honest I feel like you can wear any shoes with this outfit!
I just wore this to hang out in the garden with some friends and just do generic pleasant weather things!:)
The rings are just random rings I own, the one on my left hand is from Camden. I zoomed in so you could see the pattern properly but I have no idea how to properly describe it..
Have you guys been enjoying the sun if you're from the UK?
Also, does anyone know a good place to get midi rings, because it's half term and I plan on going on a major shop, hopefully to Oxford Street and if I don't find midi rings in their gigantic Primark, I will be mad. But anyway, adios for now!:)

L'Oreal #TXT

14 May 2014

I love sea salt spray, and when I brought the L'Oreal #txt wave creating spray, I thought it would be just like sea salt spray but without making my hair feel all sticky and knotty and smell like the sea when I used it. In that aspect, it is a good product, but I really don't like it. It makes my hair feel like straw and creates no waves. To be fair though, I don't always put it in after I've washed my hair and dry it in the specific way the bottle says to, but I was hoping that I could just spray it in my hair whenever to get the wavey look sea salt creates. But it doesn't do that, and when I did put it in after I washed my hair and followed the steps (but without blow drying my hair-I can never be bothered) it didn't create any waves

I also got the L'Oreal #TXT Volume Supersizing Spray which  claims to give your hair volume and it really
does! I put it in and it instantly gives my hair more volume, but I do need to use quite a bit to see a difference. I don't really know if it's a hairspray too though, because it doesn't hold my hair in place and the effect doesn't last for more than a couple of hours, but it does create more volume! Unfortunately it's not really what I was looking for , I more wanted a hairspray than something to give me volume, but this is okay. I'm sure it works better on people with thinner hair, because there's less to lift and if you want a volumising spray this is good, but not the best. It leaves my hair smelling nice, but not feeling nice (just like the wave creating spray). This was also £3.79 and I won't be repurchasing this one wither.

I'd love to know some of your guys favourite hairsprays and sea salt sprays  in the comments below. I've only recently started venturing out in to the world of hair products and I'm pretty clueless! If there are any products you love that create beachy waves, or gives you a messy hair look or just holds your hair in place, please let me know! I know there are so many, but I'd rather go out and buy a good one then buy one which I don't really like. Partly because I can never be bothered to go out, but mainly because of money.

Rib Crop Top

10 May 2014

I never know how to start outfit posts...
But last week I spent my Saturday outdoors on a bouncy castle (so cool I know) and I really liked my outfit so I thought I'd show you. I always have a bit of a problem taking outfit pictures though, I can never get the whole outfit in, or my face looks a mess or the lighting is terrible but I fought through all those dilemmas, not very well though, and here is the outcome of my outfit pictures.

Top: Topshop here
Mom Jeans: Topshop here
Necklace: New Look - I got it ages ago, don't think it's still in stock, but you can find necklaces like these in most shops!:)
Cropped my head out because it's the only good whole picture of the outfit I have, but my face was just ew no

On my nails I am wearing Peaches and Cream from here. Also, how nice are these rings!? I'm not sure where they're from, the perks of having a Dad whose a jeweler!:)
The thing I love about this outfit, is that it's all so comfortable. Obviously, mom jeans are comfy but the top also isn't that tight, it's stretchy and not so tight that I'm sucking in my belly all the time! I like the high neck of this top too and the vertical lines, in real life this outfit made me look really tall too, not sure why, but it did! I think a choker would go best with this outfit, but I just stuck with the gold chain. It's a really spring/summer outfit and I love the pink of the top and think it would look even better with a tan. Also since I spent the whole day in my house/garden that day, I didn't bother wearing any shoes, but I think if I did, I would have worn my black jellys probably.
I got a really nice pair of sandals the other day off eBay to wear to a wedding I'm going to soon, but alas, they did not go with my dress so I had to send the back. But they were so cute! They were platforms, but not outrageously huge, and had silver straps. I really love platforms and that holgorpahicy/silver colour at the moment, so annoyed I had to send them back! They would be perfect for summer and were so comfortable, oh welll.

Let me know in the comments if you have found any platform type sandals, because even if I can't buy them, I love looking at them! Until after I get sad because I can't actually buy them..yet. Also, if you know anywhere that sells white shoes, heels or sandals, please let me know! The wedding is getting closer and closer and I still have no shoes!

Vitamin E Overnight Serum-in-Oil

5 May 2014

A while ago when I was on a birthday shop, there was a three for two going on in Body Shop, so obviously, I had to take advantage of this since I was already buying two things.

I ended up buying the Vitamin E Overnight Serum-In-Oil, I wasn't really sure about this, but the woman told me it was good to help get rid of acne scars, hydrate your skin and for your face to look 'recharged'. I didn't really know what she meant by that, but then she started telling me about how Victoria Beckham uses it and all these other sales techniques and I just couldn't resist.
This is one of those times I'm glad I have no self control because this product is perfect.
I rarely get enough sleep, due to homework and the internet and reading and all that malarkey, but when I wake up after using this serum I look like I've had a proper beauty rest! And my face isn't all red and splotchy when I wake up like it usually is, it's all evenly toned and looks really fresh and healthy.

I've only been using it for a week but I'm already starting to see a difference. My face no longer has those dry patches which were impossible to get rid of before, is gradually reducing some spot scars I have and just makes my face so fresh!

It doesn't make your face feel oily at all and sinks in really easily. It's quite a small bottle but you only need a tiny bit. It has a pipette so I just squeeze two drops of it onto my fingers and rub it into my face every night before I go to bed. I like how it's a pipette because it's easy to control how much you're using, and there's less of a chance of using too much I feel. It also smells really nice, I don't know how to explain it but it also has a really fresh clean smell, which makes it even more amazing.
It is also really cute looking as a bonus. I like the pink and colour of the bottle and just the whole thing about it really! It is definitely worth the £12, and the woman who worked there told me it should last for a year (not sure if that's entirely true but I hope it is!). I have not read one bad review of this so far and I'm so happy that I brought it.
